Pre-Season
Before official VIQRC kickoff

Personalized prep lessons

Before the official VIQRC season begins, each team receives one-on-one mentorship in the skills that win VEX IQ tournaments — Python coding, engineering notebook, and physics for robotics.

Python for VEX
Beyond block-coding: students learn VEXcode Python — variables, control flow, sensor logic, and writing autonomous routines that win Robot Skills events at VEX IQ Level Up–style fields.
Writing the Engineering Notebook
The notebook is what wins Excellence and Design awards at VIQRC events. Students learn to document iteration, defend design decisions, and present to a judge panel.
Summer 2026 Boot camp
Students learn all basics required to compete in VEX competition.

For teams with no VEX experience, we recommend participating in the Summer 2026 Bootcamp before the season begins.

* Additional fees may apply. We will work with each individual team to provide a personalized pathway to succeed.

Decode the rules, score sheet, and field layout as a team.
Strategy sprints
Three weeks of rapid prototyping to settle on a build direction.
Robot v1 complete
First competition-ready robot ready by week 6.
Phase 2

About the program

Two parts of how teams train with us.

Outside major events, the season combines required weekly mentorship and independent practice on the field — all coordinated so every member knows what to expect.

1. Weekly coach-led mentorship

Required commitment from every team member.

  • Weekly alignment with coaches and peers.
  • Accomplish season tasks as a team — build, code, notebook, and strategy in sync.

2. Independent practice

Flexible time on the field and in the lab.

  • Students don’t need to arrive as a team for drive practice and skills runs.
  • Adult-supervised when a coach is not available, consistent with our Important Policy on independent practice.
  • Bookings must be communicated in advance so we can confirm space and supervision.

FAQ

Answers about our VEX Program in Bangkok.

What is the best VEX IQ program in Bangkok?

Finding the right robotics program is a personal journey, as every student has unique interests and learning styles. We encourage families to explore the various options available in Bangkok to find the best fit for their child's needs.

At Beyond Code Academy, our approach is centered on long-term growth and authentic learning. Here is what defines our VEX IQ program:

Student Independence: We foster an environment where students are expected to be independent and take full responsibility for their own learning process.

Engineering Excellence: Our focus extends beyond just winning a VEX competition. We emphasize core engineering principles and problem-solving skills that are transferable to any future pursuit in robotics or computer science.

What is VEX IQ Level Up?

VEX IQ Level Up is a past VEX IQ game season that remains useful for skill-building in coding, autonomous logic, and match strategy before newer VIQRC games.
